BlackLight Power

"BlackLight Power, Inc. BlackLight Process

BlackLight Power, Inc. has created a potentially commercially competitive, nonpolluting new primary source of energy that forms a prior undiscovered form of hydrogen called "hydrino" which is very likely the identity of the dark matter of the universe. This BlackLight Process of releasing chemical energy from hydrogen generates power either as electricity or heat with power densities and performance comparable to those of batteries and conventional central power plants, respectively. The only consumable, the hydrogen fuel, is obtainable from water due to the enormous net energy release relative to combustion. Two hundred times more energy and power is released per H2-forming hydrino than forming water. Thus, water can be used as the stored hydrogen, generated on demand using 0.5% of the electrical output at a nominal consumption rate of one-millionth of a liter per second per kilowatt electric power. Moreover, molecular hydrino gas and novel hydrogen compounds with potential commercial applications are the by-products. "ECAT Technology

The ECAT will revolutionize energy production as we know it. The energy generated by an ECAT has the following features:

The process that makes this possible is called Cold Fusion or Low Energy Nuclear Reaction (LENR). Nickel is fused with Hydrogen and transmutes into copper. This is an exothermal nuclear process that releases energy at around 10MeV per atomic reaction compared to the burning of Hydrogen which only releases 1.5eV per atomic reaction (Burning H2 in O2). Per atom, the exothermal process has an energy content of more than a million times the energy content of the most energetic (per weight) chemical process. The higher weight of Nickel and the fact one usually disregard Oxygen's weight due to its presence in air makes the net factor around 200 000 when compared to oil.

The abundance of Nickel in the earth's crust and the low price of Nickel make the ECAT one of the cheapest energy producers around. The ECAT does not pollute or release any carbon dioxide. Put together, there is no doubt that this is a good and safe energy source for the future." ... more

Brillouin Energy Corporation (BEC) technology uses the hydrogen in ordinary water in a nuclear process that produces no hazardous waste. The process stimulates a Controlled Electron Capture Reaction (CECR) in a catalyst. This process creates low energy neutrons. The technology

The Company believes its approach enhances the efficiency of thermal energy production because all costs associated with fossil fuels are obviated. There is an absence of combustion and there are no emissions, or need for chimneys, flues and fuel. The high temperature and high pressure systems can be adapted to produce hot water or steam in boilers for emissionless space heating applications. More advanced applications of Brillouin's technology could power boilers for motive marine power and desalinization applications. Brillouin’s proprietary electronic pulse generator promotes proton-electron capture reactions. The pulses change some of the protons in metal to neutrons, and surrounding nuclei subsequently captures these produced neutrons. Fusion

"In March, 2007 Mark LeClair built and tested the first cavitation reactor powered by the LeClair Effect, based on our patented technology. More research was done from 2007 to 2009 with a variety of other reactor designs that led to a series of key experiments performed from July - August, 2009 under a grant, titled: Utilization of Crystallized Cavitation Reentrant Jets for Zero Point Energy Production. The goal was to produce a next stage hot water heater reactor based on the LeClair Effect and was awarded by a potential investor focused on promoting cold fusion. Mark LeClair and Serge Lebid discovered that the scaled-up LeClair Effect reactor was triggering intense fusion, fission and large scale elemental transmutation using ordinary water. The 1.25" ID by 12" long reactor produced 2.9 kW of hot water using only 840 watts of input, a coefficient of performance (COP) of 3.4 times more energy out than in. The water temperature was raised an average of 18 degrees C (32 degrees F) average passing through the reactor with 28 degree C (50 degrees F) temperature spikes observed. A total of twelve experiments were performed, with 100% repeatability of the high levels seen in excess heat and transmutation in the various configurations." ... more

Overview

"Most people have heard of conventional nuclear power that is based on nuclear fission. These types of power plants produce energy in the form of heat (along with radioactive waste and massive amounts of radiation), by splitting atoms of certain isotopes of radioactive materials. The elements uranium and plutonium are both used in nuclear fission based reactors.

A "hot" nuclear fusion reaction is fundamentally different than a fission reaction. In a conventional nuclear fusion reaction, two atoms come together, merge, and a new atom is produced. For this to take place, high temperatures of millions of degrees are required. The result is also a large release of energy, but there can be similar drawbacks in that nuclear waste can be produced, and large quantities of radiation are emitted. Additionally, no one has been able to build a practical "hot fusion" reactor that produces a stable output of energy that is greater than the input required. There are teams working on building such hot fusion reactors, but the cost to do so is in the billions of dollars.

Cold fusion technology is a completely different type of nuclear reaction. It produces a large quantity of energy, but does so without the drawbacks of fission and hot fusion. Some of the benefits of cold fusion include the facts that it does not utilize radioactive materials as fuel or for any other purpose, does not produce nuclear waste, and only emits low levels of radiation that can be easily shielded. What is also very important is that cold fusion technology is ready to be used by industry. Billions of dollars are not needed to produce a practical, working cold fusion system.
